The Glass We Clean in Carson City

Carson City is a genuine mix. There is the historic west side with its Victorians and mature trees, the government and commercial core downtown, the mid-century neighborhoods spreading east, and newer development pushing north toward Washoe Valley. A window cleaner working here needs to handle a 1930s wood-sash window and a modern storefront curtain wall on the same day.

The commercial side is busier than people assume for a city this size, because it is the state capital. Government offices, legal and professional suites, medical buildings, and the retail corridor along Carson Street all keep glass that customers and constituents look through daily. The west side against the Sierra front is the interesting residential challenge. Big mature trees mean gutters full of leaves every autumn and shaded north-facing glass that grows a film. The east side has the opposite: less shade, more exposure, more dust, and more sun to bake mineral deposits into the glass.
